Honda Civics Sweep Choice Awards

TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 7 The all-new, 2001 Honda Civic
lineup has captured IntelliChoice's top honors in not one or two, but all five
categories comprising the competitive compact and subcompact classes according
to information released today by IntelliChoice, a leading independent
automotive information company and the largest publisher of consumer
automobile reports in the United States.

The Civic led a host of Hondas earning IntelliChoice Awards. Honda
products topped eight of 29 categories, three more than its closest
competitor.

The 2001 Civic's complete redesign -- focused on increasing interior
space, enhancing safety, performance, environmental sensitivity and value.
IntelliChoice acknowledges Honda's efforts to offer a Civic with a new level
of value for its customers.

    The awards included:

-- The Best Overall Value of the year, Subcompact under $15,000 -- Civic
       HX/LX/DX Coupe
-- The Best Overall Value of the year, Subcompact over $15,000 -- Civic EX
       Coupe
-- The Best Overall Value of the year, Compact under $16,500 -- Civic
       DX/LX Sedan
-- The Best Overall Value of the year Compact over $16,500 -- Civic EX
       Sedan
-- Best Car Value under $22,000 -- Civic HX coupe

To define a "good value" IntelliChoice analyzes depreciation, costs for
insurance, maintenance, repair, fuel, state fees and financing to calculate
the value of a vehicle.

The Civic makes a strong statement with its legendary value retention, and
Honda's foundation of durability, quality and reliability. Designed to leave
less of its imprint on the environment, the Civic also achieves a 50-State
ULEV rating.

Engineered with class leading safety in mind, the Civic also protects its
occupants like no other compact car. In fact, the Civic coupe was one of the
first two vehicles ever tested to receive a full 5 Star rating -- a perfect
score -- for all seating positions tested in front and side impact tests.

Value also means fewer trips to the pump, and the Civic qualifies with an
EPA fuel economy rating of up to 36 city and 44 highway (depending on model).

Capturing IntelliChoice awards along with the Civic were the Accord, CR-V,
Odyssey, and Passport.

-- Accord: Honda's sales leader was recognized as "The Best Overall
Value of the Year" among midsize cars.
