NHRA reaches agreement with Aerospace Components to sponsor King of the Track program
NHRA has announced that Aerospace Components, a leading manufacturer of high-tech racing equipment, will sponsor the NHRA King of the Track program. The Aerospace Components King of the Track is a onetime special event which is made available to all NHRA member tracks. Although details may vary by track, the program is a run-off between winners of specified racing eliminators, creating a true King of the Track.
Aerospace Components King of the Track winners earn a special edition Wally trophy, a limited edition Champion hat and two Champion decals to display on their race vehicle. Winners also earn all-important bragging rights for the title.

"We think it's a unique program that gives local racers a rare opportunity to earn an NHRA title and it's a great fit for us because those weekly racers are at the heart of our business."
For more than 20 years Aerospace Components has provided its customers with high performance drag racing and street rod components made by an educated and experienced team. The company, which got its start in Dearborn, Mich., currently manufactures all its products at its Tampa, Fla., facility.
Headquartered in Glendora, Calif., the NHRA is the primary sanctioning body for the sport of drag racing in the United States. It presents 24 national events through its NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. The NHRA has more than 80,000 members and 140 member tracks. The NHRA-sanctioned sportsman and bracket racing series' provide competition opportunities for drivers of all levels. The NHRA develops the stars of tomorrow by offering the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, NHRA Summit Racing Series and the NHRA Street Legal Program presented by AAA. The NHRA also offers the NHRA O'Reilly Auto Parts Jr. Drag Racing League for youths ages 8 to 17.
