Hyundai January Sales Up 50% Over Last Year

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 1 Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 22,258 vehicles for the month of January, up 50 percent over the previous year. "Last year was our best in the past 10 years and our strong January sales indicate that Hyundai's sales momentum is continuing into 2001," said Robert Cosmai, vice-president of sales for Hyundai Motor America. "Sales of our Santa Fe sport utility vehicle continue to grow each month as we build up our inventory.

"In addition to our complete line of high-quality, high-value cars, another factor bringing customers into Hyundai showrooms is The Hyundai Advantage, America's Best Warranty," Cosmai said. "Hyundai buyers are covered by a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 5-year/100,000-mile anti-perforation warranty and 5-year/unlimited-mile roadside assistance protection," he added.
