"We set an attractive price for the Saturn VUE right from the start to generate strong purchase consideration," said Jill Lajdziak, Saturn vice president of sales, service and marketing. "We've had very positive reaction from thousands of potential buyers since we unveiled the VUE. We want to take advantage of that interest by offering a versatile sport utility at a great value, combined with the trademark Saturn experience."

Saturn leads the automotive industry in sales satisfaction. The no-haggle, no-hassle sales approach and respectful treatment of customers earned Saturn retailers the top spot in J.D. Power and Associates' sales satisfaction index for six of the past seven years. Saturn also ranks among the top in the J.D. Power service satisfaction index (second only to Lexus), and was listed first in Consumer Reports' recent sales satisfaction survey.

"This is the right new vehicle for Saturn to add to its lineup," said Lajdziak. "The compact SUV market is expected to grow by 33 percent, approaching the one million sales-per-year mark by 2005. With the VUE, we expect to earn a significant piece of that market."
