Opel, Mercedes-Benz models recalled

Wednesday, March 13, 2002 TOKYO — General Motors Japan Ltd (GM Japan) and DaimlerChrysler Japan Co said Tuesday they will recall some of the Opel and Mercedes-Benz models they imported from Germany for sale in Japan.

GM is recalling 3,762 Opels due to problems with some rubber components, according to reports submitted to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. DaimlerChrysler said it is recalling 448 Mercedes-Benz cars. (Kyodo News)
