BMW Confirms New 7-Series Car Recalls; 2 Possible Defects

FRANKFURT -Dow Jones reported that BMW confirmed Tuesday that it's recalling thousands of its new 7-Series cars to check for two possible defects.

News of the recall was reported earlier in German magazine Focus Money.

One potential problem, which may affect 8,000 cars made between September and December 2001 , is with the throttle valve, said Munich -based BMW spokesman Wieland Bruch. The other problem is with the electronic fuel pump and may affect 15,000 cars produced between last October and April this year.
