Ford Credit Offers Financial Relief to Western U.S. Fire Victims

DEARBORN, Mich., July 1 Ford Credit is offering customers affected by the recent fires in the Western U.S. the opportunity to delay some car payments. Ford Credit's Disaster Relief Program allows qualified customers to skip one or two monthly payments, resuming their regular payment schedules when their situations improve.

Ford Credit customers who are eligible for the Disaster Relief Program should receive letters within the next few weeks via U.S. mail with instructions on how to register. Customers who have not received a letter but believe they qualify may inquire about the program by calling the Ford Credit Customer Service Center at 1-800-723-4016.

According to the American Red Cross, recent fires have displaced more than 30,000 people in Arizona, Colorado and Minnesota. Fires have destroyed more than 450 homes -- 400 in Arizona alone.
