2003 Model Year Preview

    CHICAGO--July 25, 2002--

Comprehensive Guide is First to Deliver Photos and Reviews of Introduction and Redesigned Models of All Vehicles Marketed in the U.S.

Cars.com (www.cars.com) today announced the launch of its fifth-annual Model Year Preview -- the most comprehensive new vehicle shopping guide available online. Cars.com's 2003 Model Year Preview offers a make-by-make overview of every car sold in the United States and includes photos, pricing information, profiles and in-depth reviews of the season's premier vehicles and redesigns.
Consumers can access cars.com's 2003 Model Year Preview at www.cars.com/2003buyingguide.html and browse 51 vehicle make pages -- from Honda's Acura to Zastava's Yugo -- for pricing and specification information, reviews, photos and rebate details. The Model Year Preview also offers 31 reviews of new models introduced for 2003, and 26 reviews of models that have been redesigned for 2003. Among the 31 introductory models making their debut are 13 passenger vehicles, including Infiniti's anticipated high-performance G35 sedan and the V-12-powered BMW 760 Li, 13 SUVs, and five sports cars.
Other noteworthy 2003 introductory vehicles include the Honda Pilot, a new SUV that became available for sale in early June, and the long-awaited Mercury Marauder, a large performance-oriented sedan that is slated for launch in late summer. Honda introduced a gasoline/electric hybrid version of its popular Civic model to auto dealerships in April, and General Motors released a different, "more civilized" Hummer H2 in July. The most complete details about each of these vehicles, and those still in development -- Mazda's Mazdaspeed Protege and Volkswagen's Touareg -- can only be found in cars.com's 2003 Model Year Preview.
"We witnessed first-hand consumer excitement for the new vehicles and redesigns that debuted at the major auto shows earlier this year and we wanted to maintain this enthusiasm with the first buyers guide for 2003," said Mitch Golub, cars.com general manager. "Cars.com's 2003 Model Year Preview is the only comprehensive reference available online to help consumers conveniently find the new cars they've been waiting for and connect with local dealers who are selling these vehicles."

Additional features of the 2003 Model Year Preview include:

-- What's New for 2003 index page with vehicle thumbnails that make it easy to navigate all early-release new vehicle reports
-- Photo galleries of dozens of 2003 vehicles and concept cars
-- Links to information about all available rebates and special incentives by make
