AutoWeek Unveils Magazine Redesign

DETROIT--Dec. 30, 2002--AutoWeek magazine launched a redesign with its December 23, 2002 issue, a look that features a sleek, colorful, and easy-to-follow layout that enhances the magazine's readability.

"We wanted to give AutoWeek a fresh, active look," said Dutch Mandel, AutoWeek editor and associate publisher, "so we added bold colors and reduced typefaces to make it more consistent and easy-to-read."

AutoWeek's redesign comes on the heels of its winning the Best of Graphics award for large circulation car magazines and five additional awards in the Magazine Graphics category at the 2002 International Automotive Media Awards held in November in New York.

"We always strive to give our readers award-winning graphics that enhances their weekly reading experience. I'm confident our new design continues to build on that tradition," Mandel added.

AutoWeek is America's largest weekly consumer car magazine and covers all aspects of automotive enthusiasm, including news, road tests and racing. With a circulation of 350,000, AutoWeek is one of more than 30 magazines published by Detroit-based Crain Communications, Inc. The AutoWeek Online website is updated daily with news from the automotive and racing industries, and features archived AutoWeek articles, including car reviews, road tests and cover stories dating back to Jan., 2000 editions.
