Mrs. America to Grace Chicago Auto Show; Hyundai Hosts Kristi Leigh Phillips During Women's Day

Who: Kristi Leigh Phillips, the reigning 2003 Mrs. America

What: Hyundai will be hosting Mrs. America at its booth where she'll sign picture cards and pose for photographs with show patrons, in commemoration of Women's Day at the Chicago Auto Show.

Why: Kristi Leigh Phillips will be at the auto show in support of its two themes -- the increased role women play in the auto industry and the importance of corporate responsibility among automakers.

A motivational speaker and youth pastor, Phillips is the mother of a two- year-old daughter. She is involved in local "Teen Challenge Outreach" and "Feed the Homeless" programs in her native Alabama. As Mrs. America, Phillips has taken up the fight against pediatric cancer. She lauds the work being done at Chicago Children's Memorial Hospital, which receives generous donations from Hyundai and Charity Night at the Chicago Auto Show.

Born and raised in Montgomery, Ala., Phillips is moving permanently to the Chicago area with her family. She also is a proud owner of a Hyundai Santa Fe sport utility vehicle.
