RPMworld.com Online Racing Game Draws One Million Users

CHICAGO--Feb. 24, 2003--RPMworld.com, home to the popular RPMworld Virtual Drag Race game, today announced that they have surpassed the One Million registered players mark. The game is played online, without the need for store-bought software, or a game console like Xbox or Playstation. Players simply direct their browser to www.rpmworld.com, and play the game using the popular Macromedia Flash (TM) plugin. The game is located at:

"This is a major milestone for RPMworld" said Brian Busche, president of Rendition Multimedia, Inc. Rendition Multimedia created RPMworld three years ago, and began hosting "live" online drag races in August 2001. After players build a car and tune it up, they can engage other online opponents in a real-time competition. Races are an animated, first-person driving simulation which takes place in the game's virtual quarter mile drag strip. The winner can earn points that can be swapped for cars and parts from other players.
Capitalizing on a unique affiliate program, RPMworld allows the game to appear on hundreds of web sites across the Internet. Affiliate sites can earn a portion of the revenue that the game brings in from that location. All new players are given free "credits" which they use to race their online opponents. When the credits are gone, players can purchase more credits online, in a secure credit card transaction. RPMworld processes all of its payments through PayPal, utilizing their IPN feature (Instant Payment Notification) which results in the player's instant access to the credits when they log back into the game.
Having just released version 4, RPMworld has added a bracket tournament feature and chat room capabilities to their online virtual drag racing experience. Nearly 5,000 players per day login to the game, creating an average of more than 1,000 races per hour. Sponsorship and corporate branding opportunities are being considered as additional profit centers for the game.
