Ford Celebrates a Long History in Chicago

* Henry Ford's First Customer From the City of Chicago in 1903

Ford Motor Company will be unveiling a special exhibit at the Chicago Historical Society cataloging some of the important milestones of Ford's long history with the City of Chicago. Ford is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year and couldn't have achieved this milestone without the help of an important Chicagoan back in 1903. Henry Ford's first customer was a dentist from Chicago starting an important relationship between Ford and the City of Chicago. Ford President & COO, Nick Scheele will be visiting Chicago to mark the occasion bringing one of the company's Model T-100s. The Model-T100 is one of the "brand new" Model Ts built to celebrate the 100th anniversary.

WHAT:

Media will have opportunity to preview the exhibit at the Chicago Historical Society. The Model T-100 will be available for driving lessons and a special traveling tent exhibit will also be on display.
