Vintage Cars and Rock-and-Roll Legends Transform Woodward Avenue Into the "Mustang Drive-In" for Dream Cruise

Diane Martin Enterprises and Treehouse Events Create Nostalgia for Ford Division with Woodward Dream Cruise Event

DETROIT, Aug. 13 -- As car buffs from around the world cruise to the Motor City this weekend, they won't want to miss the "Mustang Drive-In" at the Woodward Dream Cruise, complete with vintage Mustangs and a performance by rock-and-roll legend Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels. Created for Ford Division by Diane Martin Enterprises and Treehouse Events, the Mustang Drive- In is located on the west side of Woodward Avenue, between 11 and 12 Mile Road in Berkley.

The theatrical 40' x 50' drive-in movie structure has become the hot spot during the Cruise and is anticipated to draw thousands of cruisers. Celebrating Mustang's 40th Anniversary, Mustang Drive-In features an impressive display of vintage Mustangs -- all owned by Ford Motor Company employees. And on Saturday, August 16, the event creators have put together a day of free, live entertainment, including Detroit's owns Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels.

Cruisers can also expect to see the Ford Experience Tour with concept cars and 2004 models cars, such as the popular F-150.

"In working with Ford, we've put together an unbelievable experience for cruisers -- this is definitely an event for the Motor City," states Diane Martin, president of Diane Martin Enterprises, lead agency on the event. Martin continues, "This is an event that will grow as the Dream Cruise continues to attract a worldwide audience."

"The Woodward Dream Cruise is like no other event in the world," states Treehouse Events president, Dave Dekker. Dekker continues, "Our creative team has put together a nostalgic environment that really takes you back. It's something every Detroiter and car enthusiast will want to experience."

  *  12:00 - 3:00 p.m.              94.7 WCSX Live with JJ and Lynne
  *  3:30 - 6:30 p.m.               The Beat Club
  *  6:30 - 8:30 p.m.               Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels

Diane and partner Jim Ziety are now in their third year as independent producers of both the "Revvin with Ford" event in downtown Birmingham and the "Mustang Drive In" happening on Woodward Ave. in Berkley.
