Honda To Recall 11,940 Scooters Due To Faulty Brake

TOKYO September 17, 2003 Dow Jones reported that Honda Motor Co. said Wednesday it will recall a total of 11,940 Today scooters due to a faulty brake, Kyodo News reported.

Scooters manufactured between May and July this year will be subject to the recall, according to a report Honda presented to the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Ministry.

The vehicle maker said if the left-hand brake lever is pressed hard and repeatedly, the brake cable may disconnect, making the driver unable to brake.
