    Date: Monday, September 20, 2004
    Time: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
    Location: San Francisco City Hall

This is your chance to take part in a truly unique event, and help a good cause as well. From May to November 2004, golden retrievers Max & Bailey will journey over 25,000 miles through all lower 48 states in their Harley-Davidson sidecars, bringing attention to the special needs of people with disabilities and highlighting the many ways that an Assistance Dog can help them lead more independent lives.

On September 20, Max and Bailey will be in San Francisco. MAD Maps, the City of San Francisco, and many other generous partners will be commemorating their visit with a fun event at Civic Center Plaza, across from City Hall. Here's what to expect at Hogs for Dogs Day:

-- Meet the dogs, Max and Bailey and their owners, the founders of U.S. Hogs for Dogs, Inc.

-- See a demonstration of how Assistance Dogs provide service and companionship for people with disabilities.

-- Attendees will receive free maps (compliments of MAD MAPS) highlighting the cross-country journey.

-- Meet host Supervisor Michela Alioto-Pier, and special guest Mayor Gavin Newsom.
