GM's Kempston Darkes to Keynote WEC Luncheon Oct. 4

WHO: Maureen Kempston Darkes, the highest ranking woman at General Motors, will present a keynote luncheon to the Women's Economic Club (WEC) Monday, October 4, 2004.

WHAT: Kempston Darkes is group vice president, president for GM Latin America, Africa and the Middle East -- three of the most volatile regions in the world. She will discuss "Navigating Volatile, Developing Markets in a Global Business Environment."

WHY: Women's Economic Club is a one-of-a-kind organization in the U.S. and one of the largest and most prestigious business forums in the Midwest. It has more than 1,700 members, including professionals from large and small businesses, government and non-profit organizations.
