New Automotive Magazine First to Target Asian Community

Asians On Wheels Unveiled at 9th Annual Urban Wheel Awards

DETROIT, Dec. 14 -- On Wheels, Inc., publisher of African Americans On Wheels and Latinos On Wheels will soon be launching their newest project, Asians On Wheels (AOW), an Asian-American consumer magazine, targeting Asian adults, women and car enthusiasts. The quarterly publication will be unveiled at the Ninth Annual Urban Wheel Awards (UWA) Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005 from 6 to 11 p.m. at Orchestra Hall at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit. Tickets are still available.

AOW -- the only Asian automotive magazine distributed nationally throughout the Asian communities -- will be introduced for the first time publicly at the UWA, where more than 1,000 automotive industry executives, media, political and community leaders are expected to gather to honor companies for their strides in promoting diversity in the auto industry. UWA is being held in conjunction with press preview week for the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The ceremony benefits the Edward Davis Education Foundation, a non-profit 501(c) 3 that provides scholarship support for students of color pursuing careers in the automotive industry. Sinbad, acclaimed actor and comedian, will serve as master of ceremonies.

"Positioned as the automotive magazine for people of Asian descent, AOW will offer a diverse editorial mix, including personalities, health, travel, business, technology and industry trends," said AOW Publisher Rebecca Yang, which is projected to have a readership of about 300,000.

"The editorial blend of information and entertainment about automobiles and people will be equally enjoyable for male and female readers with the crossover ability to attract and appeal to all ethnic minorities and general market readers."

The first issue of AOW will hit newsstands nationally March 2005 and follow in the footsteps of its sister publications, by being accessible online (http://www.asiansonwheels.com/ ), via subscription and on newsstands nationally as a supplement to Asian newspapers.

AOW content will provide Asian readers with the most up-to-date automotive news stories, profiles and features.

The public is also invited to vote on its favorite Diversity ad that targets the Asian community by visiting http://www.asianmall.com/ . Diversity ads that win by popular vote will also be announced at the awards ceremony.
