Renault Japon recalls 1,955 vehicles over faulty bracket

TOKYO February 22, 2005; Japan Today reported that Renault Japon Co, the Japan unit of French automaker Renault S.A., said Monday it will recall 1,955 vehicles in three models due to problems with compressor brackets.

Subject to the recall are the Lutecia and two types of Scenic models, all manufactured between May 2000 and April 2002, the automaker said in a report filed with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. (Kyodo News
