Flexpoint Sensor Systems Increases Awareness at International Safety Summit

DRAPER, Utah--Feb. 2, 20054, 2005--Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:FLXT) today announced executives have returned from the International Summit on Automotive Safety held February 16th & 17th in Amsterdam, more convinced they will secure contracts for their Pedestrian Impact Detection System in Europe.

The International Summit on Automotive Safety focused on reducing the number of fatalities to pedestrians and bicyclists in automotive accidents. Statistics released during the conference showed the percentage of fatalities involving a pedestrian or bicyclist have risen to approximately 10% in the United States, 30% in Europe, and an astounding 80% in China. These figures have forced regulators and government officials to mandate new guidelines on the automotive industry. Flexpoint believes these mandates will drive demand for their Bend Sensor(R) technology and the Pedestrian Impact Detection System.
