Military Vehicle for the 21st Century Demonstrated on the Hill

          International to Showcase Lower Cost, High-Tech Truck

  WHAT: Members of Congress and congressional staff will join
          International Truck and Engine Corporation, the commercial market
          leader in medium duty trucks and the worldwide leader in three-to-
          nine liter diesel engines, for a walkaround demonstration on
          Capitol Hill of the International(R) 4200 MV -- the latest
          technology in armored logistics trucks.

          The International 4200 MV features:
          * 360-degree armored protection integrated into the cab
          * Cab configuration and armor that is customizable based on
            mission requirements
          * Best-in-class cab that seats up to six fully equipped soldiers
          * V8 engine delivering 230 horsepower and 540 ft-lbs torque
          * State-of-the-art telematics
          * Global parts supply
          * Low maintenance and operating cost

  WHY: International demonstrates the benefits of a commercially based
          platform for military vehicles, including the latest commercial
          technology and lower procurement costs based on greater scale of
          production.

          The International 4200 MV addresses the demands of today's
          soldiers who require durable, reliable vehicles that offer greater
          protection. Sensors located throughout the vehicle allow various
          types of prognostics to let command centers identify and prevent
          problems. International's cutting-edge technology also can
          remotely monitor and diagnose vehicle performance and help the
          command center know in real time a vehicle's location via wireless
          or satellite communication.

          *Real-time demonstrations of telematics for the military will be
          conducted.
