Hyundai Offers U.S. Dealers Incentives

Washington DC June 5, 2006; The AIADA newsletter reported that Hyundai Motor is providing its dealers in the United States with incentives amounting to more than 10 percent of the consumer price on its Sonata sedan, reported The Korea Times.

In a recent report, Samsung Securities said the automaker's commission for dealers in the U.S. has reached $2000 (1.9 million won) for each Sonata sold, or 10.5 percent of the average sale price of the sedan, and a $500 increase from the previous commission.

Last year, Hyundai Motor and its affiliate Kia Motors sold a total of 730,863 vehicles, up 6.1 percent from the preceding year's 688,670 units. They ranked seventh in annual sales in the U.S. for the second consecutive year.
