Tokyo, Apr 13, 2008; Mitsubishi Motors Corp. last Friday reported to the transport ministry that it will recall more than 25,000 light trucks due to flaws in body parts.

Subject to the recall are 25,545 units of the firm's Minicab and Clipper models, manufactured between January 1999 and February this year. The Clipper is supplied to Nissan Motor Co. <7201> on an original equipment manufacturer basis.

According to Mitsubishi Motors, parts added to equip the vehicles for use as refrigerator trucks may not satisfy safety standards for compulsory auto inspections because the bodies do not fully cover the tires.
