DETROIT - June 26, 2008: Painting a car is serious business, especially when it's an automotive icon. To go inside the paint lab requires stringent preparation to ensure that each person brings in nothing that can not contaminate the painting process. Everyone goes through a security check called the Crater Test.

Then, once in, the actually painting process is an intricate routine. GM Next's video crew takes us through both steps in the two videos presented below.
