Brisbane BMW Poised for Growth as New Westside Dealership Opens

BRISBANE - July 14, 2008: Westside BMW is the first luxury car dealer to service Brisbane’s western growth corridor that stretches through Forest Lake and out to Ipswich and Springfield.

The $18 million Westside BMW development is built on a 5,000mē site on Monier Road, Darra, and has a showroom large enough to accommodate 18 new BMW vehicles and as many as 50 pre-owned cars.

The new dealership also has as a coffee piazza, service reception, interactive displays and a 16 bay service workshop.

A low environmental impact was an important consideration for the designers of the new dealership, which features energy-wise lighting, recycled water and onsite rainwater tanks.

Westside BMW is backed by the team which owns and manages one of the country’s largest and most successful BMW dealerships; Brisbane BMW.

Brisbane BMW was recently awarded the prestigious BMW Trophy for excellence in professionalism, presentation and performance.

In 2006, Brisbane BMW bought the entire 14,150mē site, which includes a garden centre.

Managing Director Martin Roller, who operates with partners Marvin Burke, Lindsay Fox and Izzy Herzog and established Brisbane BMW in Fortitude Valley eight years ago, says he saw the growth potential for the area and has earmarked the western corridor as “the next big thing”.

“Brisbane BMW was a pioneer setting up a high quality dealership in the Valley at a time when it wasn’t fashionable or trendy, and long before the precinct became a hub for other prestige brands and lifestyle products,” Martin says.

“We see the opening of Westside BMW as equally innovative.

“The area to Brisbane’s west is one of the fastest growing regions of South East Queensland, highlighted by the increase in residential developments, new retailers and prestige property.”

BMW is enjoying sustainable growth in Australia in 2008, and achieved a record number of new vehicle deliveries in June 2008.
