The Peugeot Bipper

PHOTO

The Peugeot Bipper 2-Tronic van is now available, which at 116 g/km is one of the lowest CO2 emitting LCVs on sale.

The other stats are impressive, too - 64.2 mpg in the combined drive cycle, with a single load volume of 2.5 square metres.

The addition of an electronically controlled five-speed manual gearbox makes it a stronger choice for busy urban drivers.

Based on the standard manual gearbox, it uses an electro-hydraulic control system which allows the driver to select one of two operating modes: manual mode (gear changes controlled by the driver via the gear lever), or automatic mode (no gear changes carried out by the driver).

As well as assisting the driver when driving in busy urban areas through the convenience it provides, the gearbox designated 2-Tronic also helps to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

Available in a single specification, the Peugeot Bipper S 1.4 HDi 70 2-Tronic comes as standard with electric front windows, remote control central locking with separate cab & cargo area locking, Automatic door locking over 12 mph and electric heated door mirrors.

This is all for a basic price of £9,695 + VAT, £340 more than the standard 1.4 HDi 70 S model with a similar specification.

Also from September, all Peugeot Bipper models will be available with a standard driver's ladder frame protector and an optional Multiflex passenger seat.

The Multiflex folding passenger seat extends the flexibility of the Bipper even further.

It increases the cubic capacity from 2.5m3 to 2.8 m3 and the load length from 1.5 m to 2.5 m.
