Chery Auto To Cut Prices Of Seven Models In Oct

The seven models ready for the price markdown are Chery A1, A3, A5, QQ3, QQ6, Tiggo 3 and Cowin (Qiyun), with the Chery A5 to have the biggest price cut at 11,000 yuan. After the price reduction, the Chery A5 will sell at the cheapest possible price of 58,800 yuan in Beijing.
A local Chery dealer said that currently the Chery A5 only has its four 1.8L and 1.6L models available in the Beijing market, priced at 72,800 yuan and 58,800-68,800 yuan respectively after the price cuts.
The Chery A3 is a newly launched model. The standard edition of 1.6L Chery A3 is marked down by 5,000 yuan to a selling price of 76,800-86,800 yuan. The other two 1.6L Chery A3 models have their prices cut by 3,000-4,000 yuan. It is unclear yet whether the 1.8L Chery A3 will be marked down as well.
As the heavyweight model of Chery sales, the Chery Cowin has 8,000 yuan cut to its lowest price of 46,800 yuan, and the newly released Chery Tiggo 3 has its 1.6L and 1.8L models marked down by 6,000 yuan to the prices of 84,800-101,800 yuan.
The Chery A1 comfort edition has 2,000 yuan cut to 51,800 yuan. And the Chery QQ3 and QQ6 have 2,000 yuan and 3,000 yuan cut to 29,800 yuan and 39,800 yuan respectively.
Chery Auto said that in addition to the price cuts for these models, those who are to buy Chery cars from now can get the 2009 preferential auto insurance premiums, with 2,000 yuan as the biggest giveaway.
