JARFALLA, SWEDEN – November 19, 2008: Saab is celebrating 25 years of leadership in promoting the enjoyment of four-season, four-seater open-top driving by producing a special edition of its current 9-3 Convertible.

First shown at last month’s Paris Motor Show, and now at the Los Angeles Auto Show, this distinctive edition commemorates the unveiling of Saab’s first Convertible at the Frankfurt international show a quarter of a century ago. With this car, Saab pioneered the concept of Convertible motoring as a practical, all-year-round experience, stimulating the growth of a new market segment for open-top, four-seater cars.

All versions of the special edition are distinguished by a unique choice of bright champagne, jet black or carbon grey metallic paint finishes. Inside, the cabin features carbon fiber trim for the glove box opening and gear shift surround.

Aero examples also include styling features inspired by the Turbo X limited edition, such as the front grille and bumper molding, dual exhaust tailpipes and anthracite grey detailing for the rear bumper and trunk trim. Turbo X, 18-inch alloy wheels, with a silver finish, evoke the look of Saab’s classic three-spoke design. Inside, there is a soft grip, sports steering wheel and carpet mats with grey piping.

The all-turbo engine line-up, ranging in power from 150 hp/ 110 kW to 280 hp/ 206 kW, includes gasoline, diesel and Saab BioPower flex-fuel options. First customer del
