WESTWOOD, Mass., December 16, 2008: LoJack Corporation , the premier worldwide provider of tracking and recovery systems, today announced it has reached a new milestone, having recovered 250,000 stolen assets worldwide valued at more than $5 billion USD.

As part of this year-end milestone, LoJack is highlighting "best of" stolen vehicle and commercial recovery stories for 2008 from its Global Licensee Network -- which includes organizations in more than 30 countries in North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. This year's stories reflect the important role the LoJack Network's recovery systems play in fighting the growing global problem of vehicle theft and assisting police in the apprehension of professional thieves behind this and other more serious crimes.

"This new recovery milestone speaks volumes about the effectiveness of our proven technology and processes, as well as our strong relationship with law enforcement," said Ronald V. Waters, LoJack President and Chief Executive Officer. "In addition, our 'best-of' global recoveries for 2008 demonstrate the many benefits our system brings to the individual owners of vehicles and to society at large. LoJack's Network ultimately helps law enforcement fight the problem of vehicle theft, which aids police in combating organized crime rings, dismantling chop shops, and getting wanted criminals off the streets around the world."
