ITW Announces Conference Call Information for 2008 Fourth Quarter and Full Year

GLENVIEW, Ill., January 9, 2009: Illinois Tool Works Inc. today announced that it will hold its conference call for 2008 fourth quarter and full year earnings on Thursday, January 29, 2009. The conference call will begin at 1 p.m. central time and will follow the company's release of fourth quarter and full year earnings at 7 a.m. central time on that same day.

The conference call can be accessed by dialing 312-470-0008. The pass code ITW is necessary to join the call. Participants are asked to dial in 15 minutes prior to the start of the call.
