Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc. Wins Significant New Business

NORTHVILLE, Michigan, June 5, Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc. ("Hayes" or the "Company") announced today that it has received several new business awards from both existing and new customers. The Company's Saraburi, Thailand plant will produce 16" alloy wheels for the Toyota Scion. This new award provides additional volume for Hayes, which is a major supplier to Toyota in many parts in the world, including Japan and Thailand. In addition, the Thai plant received new business awards to produce 14" alloy wheels for Nissan (an existing customer), as well as 15" alloy wheels for a new customer, Autech Japan, Inc., a subsidiary of Nissan.

Hayes also recently renewed and extended its European multi-annual contracts with a leading global truck manufacturer. Hayes has truck wheel facilities in North and South America, Germany, Turkey and India and is the world's largest supplier of steel wheels for truck manufacturers.
