BorgWarner Receives Two Honda Awards for Quality and Delivery

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 22 -- BorgWarner was presented with two awards for quality and delivery performance by Honda of America Mfg., Inc. during Honda's annual supplier conference in Birmingham, Alabama. The awards recognize best-in-class performance in 2008.

BorgWarner TorqTransfer Systems in Seneca, South Carolina, was presented with a Honda Delivery Performance Award. This is the facility's ninth Honda Award since 2002. Previous awards honored engineering excellence, quality and delivery. Employees at the Seneca plant build all-wheel drive systems for Honda light trucks.

BorgWarner Morse TEC in Ithaca, New York, received a Honda Quality Performance Award. Morse TEC manufactures timing system components for Honda engines produced in North America. Since 2006, employees at the plant have been honored with three Honda awards for quality and delivery.

"Through hard work and dedication, our employees have achieved exceptional levels of quality and on-time delivery," said Tim Manganello, BorgWarner Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We value our long-standing relationship with Honda and are honored to receive this prestigious recognition. Congratulations to our employee teams in Ithaca, New York, and Seneca, South Carolina."

BorgWarner TorqTransfer Systems is a leading independent global designer and producer of transfer cases and torque management devices for all-wheel drive passenger cars, crossover vehicles, sports-utility vehicles and light trucks. These systems enhance vehicle stability, security, and drivability.

BorgWarner Morse TEC manufactures engine timing systems that are quiet, durable, precise and cost effective. Engines equipped with BorgWarner variable cam timing (VCT) technology operate independently of oil pressure to deliver more horsepower, better performance, and improved fuel economy over traditional cam phasing devices in the marketplace today. HY-VO(R) chain systems, which are available for front wheel drive transmissions, 4WD transfer cases and hybrid power drives, transmit power between shafts efficiently, quietly and economically with considerable weight savings over gear technology.
