MEDC EcoXperience to Host New Participants for the 2010 Detroit Auto Show

Detroit, MI - January 8, 2010; After a rousingly successful inaugural run in 2009, the Michigan Economic Development Company (MEDC) is once again returning to the 2010 North American International Auto Show with the EcoXperience in Michigan Hall. This area will include a 1/4-mile track through a natural Michigan landscape, where journalists can drive featured low-emission vehicles in a unique indoor experience. In addition to the track, the display has been expanded by MEDC to include a number of participants that will be making their first appearance at the NAIAS.

"The MEDC EcoXperience was easily one of the most impressive highlights of the 2009 show, and we received great feedback from journalists and the public alike," said Doug Fox, chairman, 2010 NAIAS. "It was very important to us that we once again partner with the MEDC to not only bring this feature back, but to expand the displays to include companies that may not otherwise appear at our show. It also supports the message the MEDC EcoXperience sends about the importance of the environmentally friendly direction many automotive manufacturers are heading."
