DETROIT, Jan. 21, 2010 -- The NAIAS show floor has been re-opened after the small electrical fire that occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. today. Show attendees that were evacuated as a precautionary measure will be able to re-enter the floor by showing their hand stamp, or they will be able to obtain a ticket to return on any other day by visiting the ticket booths at Cobo before 9 p.m. tonight. The fire was quickly contained and there were no injuries; show staff and security quickly and efficiently evacuated the building and workers immediately began the clean up process to enable the show doors to re-open as soon as possible. The show floor will remain open until 10 p.m. tonight as planned, with normal hours again tomorrow and through the weekend (9 a.m. - 10 p.m.). We apologize for the inconvenience but assure the public the show is back and up and running to its world-class levels.
