Shannons Expands Auction Team

SYDNEY – February 3, 2010: Shannons has expanded its auction team with leading auctioneer Ross Johnston joining the frontline squad commencing at the upcoming Shannons Sydney Summer Auction on Monday, February 15.
Johnston has supported Shannons’ flamboyant auctioneer Bill Wellwood at Melbourne Motor Show Auctions in the past and additionally has worked closely with Shannons and Wellwood on charity and memorabilia auctions in recent years.
Highlights include testimonial auctions for North Melbourne AFL legend Glenn Archer and Socceroo guru Paul Trimbole, while the charity sale he conducted for Ronald McDonald House raised over $200,000.
Johnston also spent eight years working with the Fowles Group on vehicle and equipment clearance and salvage auctions.
Shannons National Auction Manager Christophe Boribon said he was delighted that Johnston would now be working even closer with Shannons.
“Ross is a true professional,” he said. “He has been an important part of the Shannons team for many years and understands the way we work to give our clients the best possible result.”
Ross Johnston will be seen at all 2010 Shannons auctions. Here is the provisional calendar to date:
