PARIS – February 24, 2010: Peugeot is anticipating a roar of interest at the 80th Geneva Motor Show this March when the company unleashes its two stunning Concept Cars, the 5 by Peugeot luxury saloon and the SR1 Sports Coupé, in a public arena for the very first time.

Both will share centre stage with the eagerly awaited Peugeot RCZ Sports Coupé displayed just weeks before it goes on sale, together with the What Car? award winning duo of the 3008 Crossover and 5008 MPV.

Sporting the newly evolved Lion badge, the stylish 5 by Peugeot created instant commotion thanks to its bold design and innovations, when details were first released earlier this month. Powered by Peugeot’s HYbrid4 diesel hybrid technology, it produces 200 bhp and zero emissions when in electric mode. This revolutionary technology also provides fuel economy of over 74 mpg and emissions of just 99g/km without any compromise in performance or refinement.

Peugeot’s environmental leadership will also be on display in Geneva. Whether it’s the Peugeot i0n, the first 100% electric vehicle in Europe, the confirmation that the BB1 mobility project will become reality, or Peugeot’s pioneering diesel particulate emission filter technology fitted to 2.3 million vehicles worldwide. In fact 50% of Peugeot vehicles sold in Europe have emissions of less than 130 g/km of CO2.

Geneva will also see the unveiling of Peugeot’s e-HDi micro-hybrid technology to be launched in 2011, which provides reductions in fuel consumption and emissions of up to 15% in urban use, and the 3008 HYbrid4 plug-in to be launched in 2012, with CO2 emissions of just 50g/km.

The spotlight will also shine on the awe-inspiring SR1 Concept which, together with the RCZ Sports Coupé – already voted the world’s most beautiful car at the 25th International Automobile Festival - proves that Peugeot’s flair for stylish, feline design is very much alive and kicking.

Joining the concept cars will be the high flying duo of the 3008 and 5008, the former basking in the glory of being awarded Car of the Year by What Car? magazine for 2010, whilst the latter enjoys the title MPV of the Year from the same magazine.

Finally, Peugeot’s innovative integral mobility programme, Mu by Peugeot, will be included within the Peugeot stand, demonstrating Peugeot’s unique position of being able to offer a number of mobility solutions, cars, light commercial vehicles, scooters and bicycles.
