Audi Welcomes New Managing Director to Australia

ZETLAND, AUSTRALIA – March 5, 2010: Mr Uwe Hagen has joined Audi Australia Pty Ltd as Managing Director, effective 1 March 2010.

Mr Hagen, 52, brings a very strong background in premium vehicle sales to the company, previously holding the position of Head of Audi Sales for the Western German region. During his six year tenure, Audi took over the number one premium position in the Western German markets.

Since 2004, Mr Hagen has been responsible for sales of around 40,000 cars per year for the Audi brand, with a 130-strong dealer network.

Prior to Audi, Mr Hagen worked for the brand’s main competitor, BMW, where he held various roles within the company from 1990 to 2004. Before this, Mr Hagen worked with Ford in Europe.

Mr Hagen is married with two children.

Audi Australia Pty Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AUDI AG, and sold 11,310 vehicles in 2009. The company has experienced five years of record growth since 2004.
