Key West Ford To Build Roush Mustangs For Western Canada

LIVONIA, March 15, 2010: In response to a growing enthusiasm for the ROUSH® brand, and to provide cost-effective access to Canadian-specification vehicles, ROUSH® Performance has licensed Key West Ford as builders of serialized ROUSH Mustangs for the Western Canadian provinces.

Key West Ford will be the exclusive licensed builder and distributor of ROUSH Mustangs built in British Columbia for distribution through the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. They also take on the role of marketing and servicing the other Ford dealers who wish to sell ROUSH vehicles in these western provinces.

“There is a true performance culture in Canada. We have a lot of participating Ford dealers that just needed a more convenient process for getting their ROUSH Mustang built and delivered,” said Joe Thompson, ROUSH Performance vice president & general manager.

The ROUSH Mustangs that are built by Key West Ford will have their serial numbers fall within the regular sequence of those built by the technicians in Livonia, Mich., at the ROUSH vehicle assembly plant. These vehicles will be counted in the year-end build tally that ROUSH publishes.
