WINDSOR, UNITED KINGDOM – June 14, 2010: Salon Privé is enjoying its most successful year ever in terms of advance tickets sales, exhibitor and hospitality bookings.

Two of the three days are now close to sell-out, with the pace of ticket sales outstripping all previous years. By 1st June 2010, twice as many people had bought tickets to the event as had done previously in 2009 – itself the most successful event up to then, with 4,500 visitors.

Said co-founder, David Bagley: “The response this year has been amazing, especially in returning visitors and exhibitors – to be almost sold out six weeks from the event is incredible. We’ve been determined to grown Salon Privé every year, but without losing the fundamental exclusivity and sense of occasion that makes it so popular. It is now firmly an event in both the motoring and London summer society calendars.”

Tickets sales have been encouraged by Europe’s largest collection of classic and modern super and luxury cars. The latest new cars, from specialist sports cars to the finest luxury marques, will grace the lawns of London’s Hurlingham Club, showcased next to a seven-category Concours d’Elègance, in association with Chubb Insurance, featuring some of the world’s rarest classic cars.

Major brands, such as Audi and Lexus, are displaying cars at Salon Privé for the first time, joining longstanding event supporters such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Maserati and Aston Martin.

Jaguar – whose new XJ received its public debut at Salon Privé in 2009 – is returning to celebrate its 75th anniversary, with a Concours d’Elègance category in its honour.

Geoff Cousins, Managing Director, Jaguar UK, said: “With a quintessentially British feel, Salon Privé is the ideal place to celebrate 75 years of Jaguar’s heritage and showcase our latest models. With a new line-up of cars including the XK sports car, the award winning XF and all-new XJ luxury saloon, as well as some stunning classic Jaguars, guests can look forward to a great event at the Hurlingham Club this year.”

Alongside the cars are special visitor displays, including Bentley craftsmanship and Rolls-Royce Bespoke design, while young designer, Lionel Virdee, will be showing a unique range of hand-made coffee tables and side tables, made from supercar wheels.

Luxury brands, Boodles jewellery, Audemars Piguet watches and Pommery champagne are also on hand, to draw guests attention, while each ticket includes full hospitality comprising lunch, afternoon tea and complimentary bar.
