Toyota To Recognize 3 Millionth Certified Used Vehicle Owner at 2011 Chicago Auto Show

Chicago February 7, 2011; Cook County resident Sara Hirschhorn will be the guest of honor at the Toyota exhibit when she is reimbursed the purchase price of her 2008 Sienna – Toyota's 3 millionth certified used vehicle sold in the United States.

Sara a local nurse and mother, Hirschhorn will be recognized by Toyota Division Group Vice President and General Manager Bob Carter and Phillip Resnick of Schaumburg Toyota, the dealer from which she purchased her vehicle.

 To commemorate this historic moment, Toyota will buy her vehicle and present a check for the matching amount to a nursing scholarship program in Hirschhorn's honor.

In 2010, the Toyota brand was the largest seller of certified used vehicles in the auto industry. Toyota sold a record-breaking 315,418 certified used vehicles in the U.S., an increase of nearly 19 percent from 2009. With this milestone, Toyota has now achieved the enviable 3 million sales mark for a company program that started in 1996.
