Life Rolls On announced today that Rollx Vans will be the organization’s Official Transportation Partner for its signature quality of life program, They Will Surf Again (TWSA). With nine events in seven states, TWSA empowers paraplegics and quadriplegics with the opportunity to experience the freedom and mobility of surfing through the support of adaptive equipment and dedicated volunteers.

Rollx Vans will provide Life Rolls On’s adaptive surfers with complimentary shuttle service to and from local They Will Surf Again events. By partnering with a rehabilitation hospital near each TWSA site, patients of the rehabilitation center and local adaptive surfers will have the opportunity to utilize this unique service without leaving the comfort of their own neighborhood. Multiple vehicles will be available, as each van can accommodate one surfer and up to three guests. Rollx Vans’ transportation program will commence on Saturday, April 9 to kick off the 2011 They Will Surf Again season in Huntington Beach, CA.

“For many living with paralysis, especially those from underserved areas, making the trip to and from the beach can be tough,” said Jesse Billauer, Life Rolls On’s Founder and Director of National Outreach. “Thanks to the generosity of Rollx Vans, transportation is no longer a barrier to participating in our events that promote independence, hope, and community.”

Provided at no-cost to participants, TWSA fosters confidence and camaraderie, while serving as a vital opportunity for individuals with spinal cord injury and their families to establish new support systems outside of traditional support group settings. A spectacular sight, They Will Surf Again attracts up to 50 adaptive surfers and 200 volunteers per location, working together to push the bounds of possibility beyond paralysis.

“Rollx Vans takes great pride in giving back to the communities that support us. In fact, since 2004, Rollx Vans has donated over 30% of our profits to charity,” explained Rollx Vans’ Director of Sales and Marketing Scott Andrews. “We look forward to being a supportive partner of Life Rolls On and hope to expand the number of people who can attend the events by providing wheelchair accessible transportation to and from the beach.”

A family-owned direct manufacturer providing unparalleled quality and convenience, Rollx Vans has the nation’s largest selection with an outstanding inventory of over 200 new and used vans in stock.
