Pflugerville, TX--March 25, 2011: The local community is nnvited to help dedicate a renovated field at Pflugerville Little League Complex. Pflugerville Little Leaguers will walk onto a completely renovated baseball field during the official unveiling on March 28 thanks to Chevrolet, The Scotts Company, and a local man who entered the league into a national contest.

A Pflugerville Little League field will be formally dedicated during the ceremony after becoming one of five youth baseball fields in the country to be renovated with major-league quality materials through the "Building Diamonds and Dreams" contest sponsored by Chevrolet and The Scotts Company. Patrick Hennigan of Pflugerville entered the Pflugerville Little League into the contest "to help give ball players better facilities on which to play" when he came across it online. Renovations were completed in November 2010 by Ripken Design, the sports design and consulting firm owned by National Baseball Hall of Famer, Cal Ripken, Jr. and 12-year Major League Baseball veteran, Bill Ripken. Products from The Scotts Company were used for the field refurbishment. Scotts is the 'Official Lawn Care Company of Major league Baseball.
