SEATTLE--March 26, 2011: Alumni, prospective students and friends of the California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo, gathered at the Columbia Tower Club on March 22 for a special reception hosted by Point B Co-Founder Darran Littlefield. Littlefield, an active Cal Poly booster and 2009 Honored Alumnus, welcomed the crowd of newly admitted Cal Poly students, their parents and Seattle-area Mustangs to the annual event.

“I'm pleased that so many Cal Poly friends and graduates were able to join us”

The reception brought together local alumni, eager to share their experiences and memories of Cal Poly with the many prospective students from Washington State in attendance. University friends and representatives were also on hand to answer questions about Cal Poly's distinctive Learn by Doing philosophy, which mixes rigorous academics with hands-on learning opportunities.

"I'm pleased that so many Cal Poly friends and graduates were able to join us," said Littlefield. "Cal Poly has some of the most loyal alumni in the nation, and this event was a wonderful forum for them to share their passion for their alma mater. After all, what better way to learn about all the great things Cal Poly has to offer than to hear it from people who experienced it themselves."
