SALT LAKE CITY--April 4, 2011: Warren Energy Group, Inc., has joined Alliance AutoGas, the national alternative fuel vehicle and conversion network, to bring clean burning propane autogas to fleets in key western markets, including Las Vegas and Salt Lake City.  Propane autogas, in addition to its environmental benefits, is more than 90 percent "Made in America" and yields savings of $1.25 (or more) per gallon, while lessening our dependence on foreign oil and contributing to our nation's energy security.

Warren Energy, a family owned and operated business with offices in Salt Lake City and St. George, Utah, has delivered superior and dependable service in the propane industry for more than 10 years.  What Mike and Colleen Warren began with one bobtail delivery truck a decade ago has now grown to a multi-state wholesale and retail fueling operation with storage capacity of nearly 500,000 gallons, serving Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada and Arizona.  Warren Energy also does business as A-plus Water Express, delivering bottled water to their customers.

"By aligning ourselves with Alliance AutoGas, we hope to transform the way American fleet owners view alternative fuel for their transportation needs," says Mike Warren. "Autogas is not only an eco-friendly alternative, it's a cost-effective, American-made resource that's widely available."

The Warren Energy team is excited to offer their services in these expanding autogas markets.  Autogas is already a popular fuel among Las Vegas fleets; the city is home to the country's largest autogas-powered taxi fleet.

"Warren Energy is a welcome and respected partner that will play an important role in our mission to make clean, economical propane autogas an easily available alternative fuel for American fleets," says Alliance AutoGas President Stuart Weidie. "Their vision and commitment are a great addition to our quickly growing network of partners.  Continuing expansion of the U.S. autogas market is vital to national energy security."

Ideal candidates for propane vehicle conversions include many public and private fleets. Fleets that convert to propane autogas can expect:

  • Lower fuel costs
  • Significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions
  • Reduced dependence on foreign oil (90% of propane is produced in the U.S.)
  • Green branding opportunities

Warren Energy is now initiating discussions with local and regional vehicle fleets interested in running their vehicles on propane autogas.
