LOS ANGELES - April 9, 2011: The 2011 Los Angeles Motorexpo, in partnership with Brookfield Office Properties, will fill the Bank of America Plaza in downtown Los Angeles with dozens of the hottest new vehicles. Beginning Monday, May 9 and running through Friday, May 13, residents and visitors are invited to experience the latest automotive trends in a relaxed, outdoor environment, as well as sit behind the wheels and even test drive select models from many of the world’s leading automotive makers.

Manufacturers including Audi, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Jaguar, Land Rover, Hyundai, Volvo and more are set to roll out their hottest new rides for this week long free motoring extravaganza; including the Audi R8 Spyder, Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, Chevy Volt, Jaguar XKR-S, Land Rover Evoque and the all-new Volvo S60. Vehicles from many of the world’s leading automotive makers will be situated amongst the trees, flowers, waterfalls and the 42-foot high “Four Arches” sculpture by Alexander Calder that fill the Bank of America Plaza in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Attendees are invited to hop behind the wheel and test drive select new models from Land Rover, Jaguar, Cadillac and more all show days, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Chevrolet will allow visitors to the 2011 Los Angeles Motorexpo to be among some of the first to get behind the wheel of the all-new electric Chevy Volt to experience first-hand one of the world’s first electric vehicles and the future of driving.

“We are thrilled to be bringing the second annual Los Angeles Motorexpo to downtown Los Angeles’ residents and visitors,” said Motorexpo CEO Graeme Carver. “This unique automotive event will bring the very latest that the industry has to offer directly to the busy downtown business population and allows them all to engage with vehicles in a relaxed environment, during and around work hours. Business people with hectic schedules can spend their working days enjoying hot new model vehicles from a variety of top manufacturers, right outside their offices and as the event is completely free to enjoy we look forward to an even bigger audience for our 2011 event.”

The Los Angeles Motorexpo at Bank of America Plaza is modeled after the successful Canary Wharf London Motorexpo that has taken place annually since 1996. This summer, the London Motorexpo will welcome more than 400,000 visitors, making it the United Kingdom’s largest auto show event. The New York Motorexpo, which takes place at Brookfield’s World Financial Center in lower Manhattan, was launched in 2008 and is set to take place this year September 18-23, 2011. New this year, a Toronto Motorexpo joins the lineup and is set to take place June 18- 22, 2011.

“We’re proud to once again display the newest and most dynamic automobiles from around the world to downtown L.A.’s residents, visitors and workforce,” said Bert Dezzutti, Senior Vice President, Southern California Region, Brookfield Office Properties. “At Brookfield, we are committed to presenting engaging exhibitions and performances within the public spaces at our properties.”
