AMSTERDAM - April 13, 2011: The past years, Mini has come up with concept cars and special models at the international auto shows. Although the Mini Rocketman made its world debut in March, it will be at the center stage of the Mini display at Auto Shanghai 2011 for its Asian premiere.

But when the auto show is opening its doors in a week from now, there will be a world debut of a special model, when the Mini ‘Inspired by Goodwood’ will take the stage.

The model is showing how a premium small car can be executed in an ever more sophisticated and exclusive way.

The exterior and interior design were conceived at the development center of Rolls-Royce, the English sister-brand of BMW AG, which is located in Goodwood, UK.

The Mini IBG was produced in a limited edition of a thousand units and incorporates the ultra luxurious materials and craftsmanship of the leader of luxury cars.

Inside the car, top quality materials have been used in a harmonious color concept, while elements such as the dashboard, center console, carpet surfaces, leather seats, door and pillar cladding are executed in the exclusive Rolls-Royce color Cornsilk. Walnut Burr wood, an exclusive to Rolls-Royce, is also used, as well as black nappa leather for the top of the dashboard. On the outside, the RR color Diamond Black metallic stands out, as well as the 17-inch light alloy wheels in a multi-spoke design.

The limited edition is powered by is powered by a l.6-litre 135 kW/184 hp strong four-cylinder engine with Twin Scroll turbocharger, direct petrol injection and variable valve control. The power unit is featured for the first time in the new MINI Cooper S, is the most efficient engine in its displacement class.

Furthermore the special Mini has standard equipment that includes Xenon Adaptive Headlights, Park Distance Control, automatic air conditioning, an onboard computer and the audio system Radio MINI Visual Boost, including the Harman Kardon hi-fi speaker system.

Mini Yours, the possibility to personalize your Mini, is also making it to the Chinese automotive market. It is an exclusive route to personalization of the models available there, the Mini One, Clubman, Convertible and Countryman.

In Shanghai, Mini Yours will be represented by the Mini Clubman Hampton, that is recognizable by its Reef Blue paint finish, exclusive wheels and special designed seats in lounge leather upholstery, which is inspired by the southwest London district Hampton.
