WHAT:

According to the National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 75 percent of car seats on the road
today are installed incorrectly. Indiana-based Dorel Juvenile Group, the
largest manufacturer of car seats globally, is vowing to change that with
the following initiatives, which will be announced at this week's child
safety event:

Opening
of free, permanent car seat inspection station at Company
Headquarters
: Local
families can get their car seat inspected or installed for free by one of
Dorel's Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST). Dorel has 80 CPSTs on
staff, more than all other car seat manufacturers combined.

Announcement of official Safe Kids
Chapter of Bartholomew County
: Dorel
has partnered with local organizations such as the United Way of
Bartholomew County and Columbus Regional Hospital to open a local Safe Kids
Chapter. Safe Kids is a worldwide organization committed to preventing
unintentional injury for children, and this Chapter will provide ongoing
safety resources and education programs to keep local kids safe.

campaign with AAA
: Dorel
will be announcing it is taking car seat safety on the road this summer
travel season, partnering with leading child passenger safety advocate,
AAA.
