DETROIT--May 26, 2011: The "best-of-the-best" Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers were honored Wednesday evening at the General Motors 2010 Dealer of the Year Award ceremony.

The program honors the top 2 percent of GM dealers throughout the country for exceptional performance in sales, service and customer satisfaction excellence.

"We are pleased to bring back the Dealer of the Year program after suspending it for two years," said GM Chairman and CEO Dan Akerson. "This is another sign of our improving health. It's great to be able to recognize our dealers' achievements again since they play such a huge role in our success."

GM launched the Dealer of the Year program in 2000.

Fifty Chevrolet, 16 Buick, 16 GMC and 20 Cadillac dealers earned Dealer of the Year. These dealers can publicly display their honors and use them in dealership advertising.

"This is an accomplishment reserved for only a select few outstanding Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealerships and is a symbol of exceptional performance in delivering superior customer service while consistently growing sales," said Mark Reuss, president, GM North America.
