Telling The Chevrolet Volt Story Wins SAE An Award

WARRENDALE, PA--June 21, 2011: A digital magazine telling the inside story of the 2011 Chevrolet Volt's development, published by SAE International, has won the 2011 "Best of Internet" award at the 20th International Automotive Media Awards (IAMA).

The IAMAs are an annual program to recognize and encourage excellence in all forms of automotive journalism. There are 11 categories, and each work is judged on its own merits against a pre-set scale by peers in journalism and broadcasting.

The award was presented during a ceremony held June 20 at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Mich.

The digital magazine, "2011 Chevrolet Volt Development Story - Inside GM's New Extended-Range Electric Car and its Technologies," was written by SAE International Senior Editor Lindsay Brooke. It was published November 2010 in the inaugural edition of Vehicle Electrification, SAE International's new vehicle electrification website - SAE and EV .

In addition to regular feature stories and industry reporting related to hybrids, EVs, and related technologies, SAE International's EV website offers several other resources including standards, technical papers, professional events, books, research papers and training.
