Polk

SOUTHFIELD, MI--June 21, 2011: Mike Gingell, vice president of corporate development at Polk, has been named to a new Business Roundtable developed by Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson.  The Roundtable includes a select group of Michigan business professionals appointed to help the Secretary of State's office operate more effectively and more efficiently.  A major focus of the roundtable will be to provide input on the implementation of the State's new vehicle registration system.

Polk has a longstanding relationship with the Michigan Secretary of State's Office, as well as other similar organizations around the country.

"I really appreciate Mike Gingell's willingness to assist us with our new Business Roundtable," said Johnson. "He is going to be an invaluable asset. Mike is a strong, no-nonsense leader who gets things done."

The Business Roundtable is expected to meet quarterly and includes business leaders from a variety of industries across the state.  They will evaluate many aspects of the Office's operations and make recommendations on operations, cutting costs and improving customer service, among other initiatives.

"I'm honored to be named to this exclusive group and am proud to represent Polk in this role," said Gingell.  "I respect Secretary Johnson for reaching out to business leaders to help with this process and look forward to working with the group to provide recommendations that increase efficiencies and bring additional value to the residents," he said.
