BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI--June 27, 2011: TriMas Corporation -- a diversified manufacturer of engineered and applied products -- announced today that one of its subsidiaries, Cequent Consumer Products, was named one of the best places to work in Cleveland by the P l a i n D e a l er, Ohio's largest newspaper.

Cequent Consumer Products is the leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of innovative towing and cargo securing products for the automotive, recreation and trailering aftermarket. Cequent was one of more than 1,000 local companies invited to participate in the program.

"We're honored to have been selected as a top workplace in Cleveland," said John Aleva, president, Cequent Consumer Products. "The dedication and professionalism of our people is what makes Cequent a great place to work. We truly value our employees and are extremely pleased to see this positive feedback about our workplace. I would like to thank our employees for their daily contributions to our success."

To take part in this program, a company needs to have at least 50 employees in the region and meet a response rate of either at least 35 employees or 35 percent. Cequent ended up with a 94 percent response rate by its employees, surpassing all other participating companies by more than 30 percent. Companies are evaluated by the employee responses to questions about leadership, compensation, training, workplace flexibility and diversity.

TriMas also recognized Cequent Consumer Products earlier this year as a Great Place to Work and for Outstanding Achievement in Financial Discipline.
